StiffClip® WC Web Member Connector

 
Product Application

StiffClip® WC connects truss framing web members to chord members. Clip sizes vary with each application. Guide holes are provided in each StiffClip WC for accurate fastener placement. Design loads consider loads on the clip only. Size and number of fasteners used is based on fastener manufacturer’s allowable load data.

 

Material Composition

Steel: ASTM A653/A653M, Grade 40 (275), 40ksi (275MPa) minimum yield strength, 55ksi (380MPa) minimum tensile strength, G-90 (Z275) hot-dipped galvanized coating for 54mil. Grade 50 (340), 50ksi (340MPa) minimum yield strength , 65ksi (450MPa)minimum tensile strength, G-90 (Z275) hot-dipped galvanized coating for 118mil.

StiffClip WC Nomenclature

StiffClip WC is designated by multiplying stud depth in inches by 100, then listing material thickness and length.

Example: WC350-54mil 10”

WC = StiffClip WC
350 = Stud depth of 3½” (x100)
54mil = Steel thickness
10” = Length of clip

  1. Place StiffClip WC at web of each framing member.
  2. Attach StiffClip WC to framing member with required screws through guide holes.

  • Allowable design loads apply to tension or compression on StiffClip WC utilizing the innermost holes provided and indicated on the load direction diagram.
